At Mitchelton State High School, our Montessori program supports students to become independent, curious, and capable learners through a personalised and student-centred approach.
Montessori is an educational approach that:

Our Montessori program is designed around big ideas that matter, explored thorugh a cross-curricular approach. Instead of learning subjects in isolation, students engage with concepts that weave together English, Humanities, Science, and Mathematics, allowing them to see patterns, make connections, and apply their thinking in meaningful ways. It's less about ticking off content and more about understanding the world as it is and teaching students how they can contribute to the world around them.
