Mitchelton State High has a committed Defence Schools Mentor, Lesley brings both professional and personal knowledge of the defence family lifestyle to her role at Mitchelton State High School.
The DSM role is provided by the Defence Member and Family Support to the school, to welcome, integrate, provide absence support and farewelling defence students and families, offering continued support throughout the student's time at Mitchelton High School.
The DSM role offers families, assistance with change, and support resilience, to overcome the extra challenges faced, as a direct result from the unique defence family lifestyle.
