The Chaplain at Mitchelton State High School provides support to the school community. The role involves assisting students through challenges, providing a listening ear and a caring presence for our students and staff. The chaplain can also provide spiritual support, with parental consent.
In our school, the chaplain Larissa plays a vital role within our Student Support Services team. Larissa has a Diploma in Youth Work and 17 years experience working in the Youth Support industry.
Larissa coordinates and oversees a range of groups including:
- Breakfast Club
- R U OK? Day
- Bullying. No Way!
- Harmony Week
- World Teachers Day
